Beak Problem?
Hello,
Does the lower beak grow the same as the top one? It's just that when Twiglet is eating I've noticed a cracking sound. Watching him eat today is bottom beak has a point on it and it has worn his top beak down, so it is an inverted V shape. Should I get it trimmed? Thanks, Row xx

Really? Will an emery board, like the one I use for my nails be enough?? How do you do it?
If you look at this thread you can see his beak, not the 1st 3 pics that's Tetley. http://www.shelledwarriors.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=73156 Thanks Gordon

The top beak needs a bit of a trim to level it up I use a good set of nail clippers never tried a nail file.

You have to hold it very tight from above with your thumb and finger he won't like it.

It won't be a problem for another week or two.
You will need to open his mouth you might need another pair of hand to do this make sure you hold his head tight also it might help to have a pencil to hand and put across his mouth to stop him closing it also best time to do it is when he is cold as he won't have so much energy. And yes he will hate you for it. |
