Default Slug problems .. copper solution

Not sure where to post this ...

Apparently, there has been an abundance of slugs this year, due to weather last Summer and the Winter. This of course causes problems with Lungworm should they be ingested to name just one problem.

I read this somewhere and have just Googled ... use Copper Strips. The slimey creatures won't cross the line apparently ... worth a try anyway

I use copper strips around the base of my flower pots and it certainly helps!

Torts are not at risk of lung worm. Its been discussed on here before

The copper strips help a bit but dont stop them. There is a product you can mix with water and they kill the slugs but dont harm torts as not chemicals. i have noticed an increase in slugs this year!

Yes there's definitely more slugs this year. I think it has something to do with having such a wet winter. Bloody pests!

It's something you'd have to keep adding to but table salt put in a ring around plants will keep slugs away. An open container (not a bottle ) of beer will get them to sample it and drown (beer is toxic to slugs )
