Top soil only to grow weeds?

I have nothing green about my fingers at all but going to give it a go. Do I just plant in top soil? I don't want to grow in any compost/soil that may be harmful for torts

Weeds generally do better in just ordinary garden soil - do you have access to a garden which has not had pesticides or fertilisers sprayed on it

You can use sterilised topsoil - just a bit of a waste

I already have a large supply of weeds but guess I wanted to try my hand at
growing but I guess no real need, ha!

By the way, what is 'sterilised topsoil' and how do I sterilise it?

You can buy sterilised topsoil from Wickes, Homebase, etc.
I'd recommend Wickes.

Weeds will grown in anything, even inbetween paving stones, they are very hardy
