uv bulbs how often to change?

every day is a school day, thats what i love about this site you can learn everything you need to know about tortoise welfare.
I have read that you have to change the uv light , how often? do you also have to change the basking lamp? thanks in advance for help.

I think that for a UV bulb it's about every 6 months, as the UV output slowly decreases over time, but I think that you only have to change the basking bulb if it blows.
