Default Help with winter feeding

I have 2 spur thighed tortoises at the moment am feeding them lambs lettuce,flosette classic crispy mixed salad,romaine lettuce, wild rocket can you recommend anything else as i think they are getting fed up with that

Can you buy pansies and grow them in pots/tubs over the winter? They are quite hardy and will withstand snow cover. Might object to too much rain though!! Other plants can be grown if you have a greenhouse and some form of heat maybe.

I think the Pre Alpin dried tortoise foods are very useful when there is no food in my garden.

Most of us find that our tortoises will eat this stuff which is dried meadow plants.

It comes in a few different versions. My tortoises like Pre Alpin Herb and Baby the most.

These may help too, if you cant get hold of pre-alpin easily. I find my hatchlings are very happy eating all types of dried foods- some of the older ones are less interested.
