advice outdoor enclosure
Hi I want to start to build the out door enclosure for maggie and alec 18 month old hermans.Have pinched some ideas of other members, got to put them into practice now.
Question is how deep can Hermans dig,i want to make it secure enough for when they get bigger and stronger. I was thinking of digging in below ground level and laying blocks, which are 9inches deep with timber run ontop.(Is this idea over the top or what?). Any advice much apprieciated. Paul. |

Hi Paul,
Hermans don't dig as much as horsefields, but its better to be safe than sorry, I would dig about 6 to 8" down and put wire mesh to stop escapes happening then cover it back in with the concrete blocks around. Ade
