Default Shed Heating

Have ordered a wooden shed, to house my Leopard, thinking ahead for winter, have looked at tube heaters and 1-2 kw fan heaters, the fan heater has a max temp output of 40f
Anyone have advice on, tube vs fan heaters. I will be still using basking light/heat, and both products are thermostatic.
Also have not found any info on the heaters consumption rate, i know a bit technical , but any help gladly recieved
Thanks Paul

I use tubular greenhouse heaters for my garage and plan to add some to my leopard shed.
You really need to look at insulation also, the thicker it is the more it will keep the heat in.

Hi Paul, the best insulation you can get is the Kingspan panels, you could try initially to put a request on freecycle for them, sometimes builders have offcuts they no longer need, and as you will have to cut them to fit in the shed, this could save you some money. I would insulate floor, ceiling, walls and the back of the door, then just cover with a plywood for ease.

Thanks for replys, i should have mentioned insulation, i have already included kingsspan in the plan. It was the heaters which confused me, the greenhouse heaters fan assisted looked ok, but i guessed they could be more expensive to run, than tubular.
Sarah mentioned tubes in a shed. How many, what size?

Fan heaters are great, but so expensive to run. My fan heater is what makes my torts so expensive to keep. I have been looking into tubular heaters, but haven't got round to changing over yet.

I don't see how running a fan heater or tube heaters would make any difference (assuming they have similar efficiencies)

If it takes a kilowatt of heat to keep the shed warm its not going to make a difference as to what you use.
