Yeah, that was a Horsfield rehomer which came to us with that problem. Can't be sure of the age either sadly because of this.

i personaly use top soil as i find its more natural but as said before its your own personal choice.All my torts enjoy digging and being natural in there tables and outside and personaly wouldnt use any other substrate,

I used hemp for a couple of years for my 4yo hermans. I used to put it in one area for their bedding but give it a few weeks and they've usually spread it all over their indoor enclousure.
