Changing my mind on the female Now that I can see her better, she's looking like a T.g.ibera.

wow... very interesting.

What about the skin color?... The general size. It does look like an older animal.

I'm guessing you are looking at scalation/scute pattern but that looks like no Ibera I've ever seen (I did have the privalige to see the one race in the wild)(although quite a few years ago).

What traits make you think that she is T.g Ibera?.I have 4 (what I believe to be) T.G.I'S and this one doesn't look anything like them.

How big is she? I've seen T.g.ibera that look very similar. She doesn't look all that old to me.
Are her eye's even with the top of her head? I'm looking at the shape of the first vertebral scute, the seam between the humeral and pectoral scutes, the seam between the abdominal and femoral scutes.
T.g.ibera as a subspecies is found over a very large area, so there is going to be plenty of variation in animals.

Shows you how much I'm behind the times... I don't even know what maro... maro... whatever... is. Seriously... never heard of that subspecies.

I've got 2 T. greaca that I got as golden greeks... one is obvious. The other... a female... I'd love to pair up. I raised her from 4 inches to 7 inches. Unbelievable personality... maybe Danny can ID her for me.

As you get more into the hobby you'll see it is a big deal... more than you can imagine... and it's not really about you... or I... or Danny.

If you look into it... it is a very interesting topic... the taxonomy of the Testudo group.
