I have had my lovely tortoise for over 40 years and we were never really sure what she was..or even if she is a she! Your diagrams and notes are very helpful and I am now fairly sure Pepper is a female Hermanns because of the spur on her short tail. Thank you! PS I've just joined and the whole site is excellent!
