General book on tortoises?
I am trying to find a book about tortoises in general. Not much about keeping them but a bit on every species. I believe this book covers land tortoises as well as turtles. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Turtles-Worl...0736985&sr=1-1
It is not clear from description and revievs if it covers 'land turtles' as well. Thank you very much in advance.

Is 'Turtles of the World' ISBN-10: 0713682353 covers all turtles/ tortoises or is it only about water dwelling species? Sorry it is not clear from description and review...

I find "The Russian Tortoise" by Ed Pirog extremely useful. It's about mediterranean tortoises, not just the Russian (Horsfield)

Thank you very much Geomyda, I will definetely get this book now. Thanks Petrus I also think Ed Pirog books are really good and in depth, but I was looking as well for sort of 'encyclopedia' which will cover aquatic and terrestrial torts all over the world.
It will help me to understand my tortoises better.

I had a feeling you would want one that kinda covered everything. Good luck.
