some women are like that, they are bored with their own life so they like to stir things up and watch and wait,I worked with two women for ten years who I thought were my friends, they were horrible to everyone, and if it was a quiet day then they would invent something to say and sit back and watch the fireworks,In the end I left my job because I couldnt stand it anymore.I think men are nicer to work with

All I've learnt (and believe I still do fall in the trap) is don't trust anyone you work with 100%. Don't let them in to your personal thoughts/personal business ,too much.

Becci, sad gits with no lives have nothing better to do than cause others hassle, normally out of jealousy or just because they are trying to deflect issues away from themselves

Thanks all.
I don't trust anyone 100% Rach, I learnt that the hard way too, I only tell people what I don't mind being repeated. The sad thing Jackie, it was a bloke, he's a bigger woman than the women there though. Thanks Mark, it is indeed, I've seen it happen to others enough, it's just the things they're saying are so absurd you question why they actually believe it!

could it just be that they are worried about their own jobs, hanging onto a job is so important nowdays with so few new ones around, I don't know anything about your situation but do know that expecting work collegues, and thats what they are not friends to stand by you is often to much to expect. I remember when they bought the poll tax in many who worked with hubby were very willing to complain yet none were willing to stand together against it, our issue was that we all lived in tied housing which was rent and rates free and the poll tax was to be charged saying it wasn't classes at rent or rates. Had all the workers stood together they might have been able to do something but no one would come forward, after that I held little stead for work mates, people to talk to but that was it.

I don't know the situation , but just asking have you told your immediate boss, they shouldn't be allowed to spread lies about you ( I don't know anything about employment law) ignore this if you already have. There must be something that can be done about it.
I've just read your post again, I understand a bit better now, it's a long running problem involving lots of people. Just sit tight, ignore the rumour mungers, they are sados, your better than them.

I always say that the only opinions I care about are the ones expressed by the people I care about. Don't worry Becci, we all love you! Xxxx

I wish I could trust people
But so often they just let you down! The ones who don't though are very much worth keeping Better have just 1 person you can trust than 50 you cant!

Definitely Merlin! They do and the main culprit I have been there for time and time again! NOT ANYMORE!!
Yes Suze it's a long standing thing, my manager is a huge gossip too. She'd tell then they bothered me, that's worse than ignoring them isn't it? Thanks Charlotte! Everyone in fact, it's great to know there are people who care and listen! xxx
