Hello and welcome. Yes he is a bit bumpy but with a correct diet the new growth will be smooth. Where did you get him from and what substrate are you using?

The thing to remember with horsfields is that in the wild they are only awake for 3 months of the year and are programmed to eat eat eat while awake. So this is what has caused the pyramiding. You are aiming for a slow growth of 2-4g a month no more else the pyramiding will get worse.

I got him from a pet shop near where i live, i have realised now that they wern't the best people to buy from but i am making the best of a bad situation. I have him on a hemp substrate, in the form of pellets but they break down with time...

I feed him spinach leaves, romaine lettuce, carrot tops, cress, grass and odd bits of cucumber...and i'm looking in the weeds section for new ideas and some seeds i can plant

Do you think is serious? Its got me worried now

Pyramiding is not serious at all just had a bad start in life as long as it does not carry on thats fine, i have seem much much worse. The diet you have him on at the moment is wrong except the romaine lettuce. You need to feed him weeds weeds and more weeds. No Fruit. Stay away from cabbage that takes calcium away from the body.
What vitamins and calcium are you using?

You need vitmains sprinkled on food every 3-4 times a week- nutrobal- you can overdose on this so dont use everyday
Calcium every day- limestone flour- cannot overdose and is vital to smooth growth.
