Fly river turtles (carettochelys spp) yes are found in northern Australia and south eastern Asia (new guinea) , these youngsters will be exhibited in the new elephant house at Chester zoo as part of a geograhical area to endangered Asian animals .
Lloyd yes they are over collected for the pet trade younsters (hatchlings) but the adults are caught and sold as meat in Asian countries in there hundreds every years, these are being exhibited as part of the shellshock campaign to protect Asian turtles from extinction and are captive bred. Lloyd no one would think you were being arsey its best to point out any errors
