Oh Gordon so sorry to hear you have been ill. 'Flu is awful - man or woman. Take care of that chest and don't hesitate to see doctor if not recovering. Last year, sadly we lost one of our neighbours to flu. Sorry, don't mean to frighten you but he refused to acknowledge he needed help in spite of not being able to walk after a week. He did smoke heavily so his poor lungs couldn't cope.

Back to thinking of Christmas, loved the video clip. Very warming. Also the Bournemouth University one. It was on our local radio, so be interesting to see what offers he receives. I believe he receives money for his YouTube hits?

We must not start our Christmas pictures too early. It was mainly down to CB to keep up the daily artistry. I think I only managed one. I'm not too creative.

This is how I rate the Christmas adds so far

House of Fraser ... To much like last years, weird music and weird dancers

Aldi.... A talking puny carrot with skinny arms and legs , no thanks

M&S .......Mrs Clause doing everything in one night, trying tooooo hard.

John Lewis.... A gorgeous dog and other lovely animals jumping on a trampoline , a simple but effective idea, love it.

I haven't seen any others yet. I'll let you know what I think when I do.

But when is the Coca Cola lorry going to be on??? I'm waiting ever so patiently. That advert is Christmas.
Good synopsis of the adverts so far, Suze. Can't say I like the TK Maxx one much either. Hoping lots more come on tonight. Usually Saturday night is a popular night for them. Have just wrapped up all 96 treats for the advent calendars - I know I'm mental, but I love doing it for the kids, no matter how old they are.
Feeling festive!!

I haven't seen the TK max add yet, I'll let you know what I think when I see it, as you say, Saturday is good for spotting the Christmas adds. And I do agree with the coke add, the the real turning point, Christmas is on 🎅🏻

We all know Man flu just means a bit of a sore throat (huu huu huu cough 3 times ) and excuse not to help with dinner! There needs to be a Christmas advert on that and we would all curl up laughing - John Lewis one is brilliant !

omg whats the one where they visit the Turkey farm, all little beauties are eating berries and then they eat one !!! it was like hunger games for Turkeys. I don't think they will get much of a laugh out of that one. CB

Well the carrot one is rather weird. Avoids all those accidents to end up on the plate ready to be eaten by Rudolph. Not so sweet after all. Or have I missed something.
