sorry another question on this form, is the Article 10 form which you get with the tortoise, does this form allow you to breed the tortoises and sell on, or do you need something else. Only thinking way ahead again lol

You need to get your tortoise chipped and the article 10 changed to your name, which you can't do until the tortoise is 100mm SCL, smaller than that can cause problems with the chip migrating and cause your tortoise problems. Then you can breed and sell the tortoises..

now that makes sence was reading a email that the lady at DEFRA and didnt quite understand it thanks for clearing that up lol

Try to leave chipping as long as poss, the bigger the better..

Just thought the info from my own Article 10 paperwork for my UK CB Iberas would help in knowing / identifying what information to look for in the relevant boxes.

if a person has never seen or dealt with an article 1o then its great to have the advice in advance

but i have been on deffra and got a bit lost ...lol

i have just sent off for my 2 hermans tortoises and are in process for there breeding certificates
