More than one tortoise
I am so excited, although a newbie, at getting a tortoise. But I have noticed that most have many more than one .. is this recommended or that they are additive? Could I introduce another later - getting probably a Hermann

Tortoises are just fine on their own... trouble is they are just so awesome we always want more!

I have recently been in a position to get another, to go with my Horsfield's Flo. I'm way too excited, and I think it makes looking after Tortoises a lot more interesting to have two, as they each have different characters.

They are addictive, most of us with lots of them keep them in small groups, they don't all get along. Torts are fine on their own.

Out of my eight, only two females share. That means I have seven indoor tables and seven outside enclosures.

They're addictive, I have 3 Hermanns, Darwin lives on her own, her rough and tumble is too rough and my smallest take the tumbles. Though they were together for a while, but the weight difference is too much at the moment (I think)

They are indeed addictive I don't think many stop at just one because they are so fascinating to watch :0)
