Default Hatchling!

Egg piped last night. Nothing this morning but now have a head and two legs popped out of shell - been like this since 5.30pm but nothing has changed since. Assuming this is ok but just checking 🐢🐢

It can take up to 24hrs to come out of the shell. This is sometimes a little longer if they still have some egg sac left to absorb.

As sandy says it can take up to 24hrs but occasionally a bit longer just make sure you give it a good warm bath so it can drink as they can become dehydrated with all that hard work.
Dont forget the pictures when its out

Congratulations! Welcome little Hamish. I'd love to see a photo of the little one.
