Default tortoise bedding

hi im new on here just wanted to know if i can use sawdust instead of hemp bedding for my hermann tortouse steve please help as im not sure thanks

Hi Steve.Don't think sawdust is recommended.I use Graze On or Readigrass.

Yesterday i bought a Readigrass and flower mix bedding (from the SW shop) it hasnt turned up yet but i will let you know its like

I wouldn't use sawdust, they could eat it and it could become impacted but apart from that, depending on where the sawdust has come from and what type it is it could contain diesel and resin. We used diesel soaked pads on the sawguides and softwood sawdust will contain resin
