I have the same problem with one of my Hermanns Kev. She laid 10 eggs last year over a number of clutches, not one was intact. It is very frustrating.

Yes Peter it is frustrating, after all the work you put in with them!! this is her first time, Sarah its a mixture of topsoil and playsand, with a 100 w spot light above, at normal basking tempature, how damp should i keep it at for Tunisians?

Aw Kev that is a real nightmare, at least she is laying Mine are going through all the motions but nothing. Reckon mine prefere the practicing bit better, both my females dug really nice holes then left them. My smaller female is chasing everything in sight including my hand when I put their food in.
Hope she lays for you again and does not break them. Anna x

Peter, do you know how damp the nesting site should be for Tunisians?

The substrate should be just damp enough to hold together when she digs Kev. Also make sure it's packed down well, so it holds it's shape when she digs.

Thanks Dan for your reply, other breeders in the uk are not very helpful when it comes to breeding Tunisians,
