Default how to measure the larger ladies

hi i this year i made a sliding rule to measure my tortoises and as it only goes to 240mm it was a little difficult to measure the larger meds and the leopards ,so i have just made a larger version that goes up to 600mm .i have had to make it out of wood but as most of the larger ones are adults and dont grow as fast as hatchlings i only measure once a year rather than monthly so it shouldnt wear out.this is my largest leopard she is 457mm if you read the guage you can see how easy it is to take an accurate measurement.

Terry, I have no idea how in the world you get them to put their heads all the way in. For the life of me I can't get an accurate measurement. Great pics of her by the way.
