Looks like Opuntia. Tortoises love it!

Hi ross
I know its Opuntia but what sort is it,I got a cutting from my holiday and its growing quite well.

From what I can find it looks like Opuntia lindheimeri. Im not a cactus expert though.

There are 181 species in the Opuntia genus,I never knew that untill to night.
I went on hoilday to malta last year and the cutting are doing well.
I have not got a clue what colour the flower are on this.

jeff, it may be a vulgaris, . they have yellow flowers.

I will have a look in anderson's encyclopedia, but they dont list /picture all of them , and what they do can look the same.
