Begginer in need of fast help!
Hi everybody, today I became the proud owner of an 8 month old spur thighed tortoise (now named phillip). I introduces him to him new table as well as washed and fed him plenty, everything was going great until I tried to run my lamp through a timed plug socket at which point my entire heat and light system has failed on me, I have ordered a new higher wattage bulb and lamp for him which should arrive by Tuesday but I don't know what to do in the mean time as I can't properly provide heat or light. Any advice would be great, thanks a lot Luke

Have you tried plugging it in without the timer?

Yes, probably should have explained that bit better, basically the bulb wouldn't turn on and when it did you could tell it wasn't working effectively and the tempratire in the table dropped massively

Check the fuse in your plug too. You can use any spot light or angle poise lamp for heat in the mean time.

Yes a desk lamp will work in a pinch Put the highest wattage bulb (that it's rated for) in the lamp.
