oh good for the birdies, lol, i could find you loads to do
if you know that its only temp, you dont get to upset,i always give myself "pep" talks, if i kept every thing that came thro my doors, i would have to turn the next one away, by just fostering, i am always leaving space for "just 1 more" at this time of the year, you can save nearly all scraps from your plate, for the birds, i feed all over town, not just in my garden we have a herring gull, its this years bird, it lives down on the docks, it has a broken wing, i dont know if it was hit by a car/boat or if it was done in the nest, anyway, someone dispite being stuck at a odd angle it manges to fly, but in this awful weather, it just cant get up in the air, i suspect the cold is causing stiffness, anyway i have been down every day in the snow storms and biting winds to feed it, i know it wont live a long life, but as long as it starts to fly again when the weather changes it should be ok, i have got a one legged gull been living free for about 8 years, but a leg is not that important for a bird, well not compaired to a wing |

HI Linds I know I am a week late to reply to this post, has your friend tried Battersea Dogs home? I got my last Rotty from there and they delivered her by train. They are always looking for good homes for dogs regardless of where you live. all they do is a home visit. Just an idea as I know my next dog will come from there as they have so many. The rotty we have was abandoned on the streets at 10 weeks old they took her in and nobody claimed her. They keep Rottys in the behavoral unit only because of the breed, she was 16 weeks old when we rehomed her and she is lovely. They also have a website you can view all the dogs.
Anna xx
