It's lovely to see Ptolome out enjoying the sunshine, Suze. Mine haven't been out yet as we're overhauling the garden and I haven't got around to removing the winter covers off their enclosures. Hopefully this lovely weather will continue for a few weeks.

I'm up early this morning and it's looking like it's going to be another lovely spring day here, so more tidying in the garden, cutting the grass today, it's got so long, I hope the bigger torts can have a little time outside this afternoon.

Same here Suze, I feel a little guilty as I want mine out all day. Do you think it matters its quite cold in the conservatory over night still but they are out in the sun during the day? its a balance between being out where not quite warm enough in the mornings and inside where its too hot in the mornings ! I've just put Ptolome out again at about 1pm. And it quit warm on the ground in my sheltered garden and it very warm under their cold frames.
A couple of years ago my sister in law went to Greece in April on a walking holiday, hoping to see torts. She said the nights were still very chilly and some days were still quite cool, but the torts were about, although she wasn't lucky senough to see any, they were quite elusive. So I think cold nights in the spring doesn't seem to be a problem for them. She also said their was a lot of wonderful weeds for them to feast on. So they can eat and eat as much as they like in the spring, no one limits their food intake !

What a lovely picture. I love seeing everyone's torts enjoying the sunshine.

I've just had a conservatory built and was wondering about moving my tort in there until her outside enclosure is built. But was unsure about the temp being suitable at night. It is lovely and warm in the day though.
