I read through this entire thread, and debated about reviving it...
But from all that I have read, I think that it highlights how one persons aim to do good (however they may have gone about it), is flawed by immaterial things. Its sad that so many opinions (positive and negative) get twisted and produce nothing of concern for the tortoise in question. Advice is what was requested here, positive advice which would benefit both the new owner and the tortoise, but sadly I didnt see so much of that.... This is the second bump since the tread started, I hope its positive..... loogielv I was interested in asking how the tort was doing? How the vet appointment went and what the out come was? Also, an up to date photo would be great, I for one would love to see how much his shell has improved.

looks like the owner smothered the tort in mud so the damage was harder to notice if you ask me! i cant see how a tort can get that caked in mud right to the top of the shell - how is this tort getting on now?
