It explains illnesses with details, and writes it in a reasonable understandable way. All books in the Pet Owners Guides series are brilliant. Do you have this book, Geomyda?

Actually I don't, but I do have a very extensive library of Chelonian Books.
Maybe I should add this recommended book to my list?

Geomyda,

Due to an Amazon button pressing episode I have 3 copies of this book. I'll give you a copy next time I see you. Like most older tortoise books it suffers from premature ageing of some of the care advice given but from what I remember its quite good introduction.

Actually having just had a flick through, it's good. I disagree with some of the dietry recommendations but that's just personal preference. My apologies to EB and the author.

Hey,

I brought 'Turtles & tortoises for dummies' and found it really good, i have 4 other torts books, but i dont think any compaired. BTW i got it from amazon and current prices are --28 new from £5.64 21 used from £1.46-- used is fine
