I definately will post photos when I get them. Mine are wild caught from near where I live. I'd like to get a pair of each of the Kinosternon that occur in my state. Aquatics are the only native species of chelonians I'm allowed to keep.
Have you bred them yet? Who is the studbook keeper in the EU? Do you heat the water where yours are kept? Do you provide a land mass for them? Last question... do you provide UVB?

Mine have been mating but no eggs yet, i been told by the last owner where i got my pair of adult loggerheads from that they have had eggs last year, so hopefully i will. my other adult female wont let the male near her.
your lucky to have them in the wild by you, my hatchlings are in heated water but the adults are normally not, but if we have a cold spell over here i will put the heaters on. yes i have land for all my musks, and a heat lamp and uvb light over the land, so they can bask if they want to. |

Can you post a photo of your setup?
I'm looking at either a 55gal or 60gal breeder tank with a glassed of section for the land area.

The idea I have in mind will allow them to go under the land mass section in water. A friend in the UK uses this set up on his Spotted turtles and it is really neat.
