Default housing....HELP

hey, as some of you no, i am keeping my tortoises in a bad environment...AT THE MOMENT.
i will be creating a new enclosure soon, for both....and it will hopefully be a table top enclosure.
anyway..heres my pics...could you tell me what i could add or do for my tortoises.

Loois HOME ::

as you can see its not big or great, its crap and small....its only temparary...as loi is in quarentine.
i dont no what i could use to make it look a bit separated and brake it up a lil bit.

Jerrys HOME ::

as you can see jerrys home is much better and broken up a wee bit, but its not so great.
she has gravel and cork bark that you can kinda spinkle water over once a day to keep humid up.
the end where her half pot hide is, is lovely and cool...and the other side is nice and warm.

she has 3 fake plants, 2 that trail and 1 that is just still.

i was thinking about adding asmallllll plant but not sure what.

can anyone help?

(jerry also now has a huge corner of soil which i put in today so no pics on the soil sorry)

Look at what Henry Flash did with his tortoise table, one big one and divided in the middle.

Theres so much that can be done..

Has grandad sorted them for outside yet, this week is ideal for the to be outside !! Just watch for birds, cats etc..

How about adding soem plants in pots? You could use pansies or petunias. I woudl add a skirt of card or paper to the bottom of jerrys tank so she cant see out. Does looi have a water dish?

I take it you got the tube and starter I sent you then.
The tube needs to go further down - about 8cm away from the tortoise.
Id save up and buy an under bed storage drawer for each of them. You can pick them up for around 4 quid each from discount shops.

Yes what claire said would be good buy a couple of storage tubs there really cheap and will do until you build you new enclousures. I still use one for my smaller hermanns and its fine for them and very easy to clean. Alternatively have you get an old bookcase you dont need? You can take all the shelves out and turn that into an enclousure you could even leave one of the shelves in to give you 2 separate enclousures. There are lots of things you could do to change the current enclousures for very little expense.

I would change the substrate, and get jerry out of that horrid tank.
Save up a little bit and get an underbed storage box.
Use hemp as the substrate, its baout 7 quid for a big bag of it, alot cheaper then buying in small quantities.
