I went into my local shop yesterday and one of the poor mites had climbed over a rock and fallen down the back... all i could see was a helpless pair of legs
When I said to the assistant she said that she hadn't checked them all day... so goodness knows how long he'd been there like that for.... they have no clue about husbandary either. I'm not blaming the staff, more the franchise/store brand for not educating them. Lisa |

Going to check out our local pets at home tomorrow after seeing this thread. The thought that all there shops nationwide could be stocking up on torts is worrying

If anyone does drop into Pets at Home over the weekend can you see if they have any Tortoise caresheets you could be pick up? I'd be interested to find out what their advice is. I would go myself but I'm working and I would have trouble keeping quiet if they have torts and are dishing out bad advice.
As Sandy says they used to sell reptiles a few years ago. The one near me at the time used to sell 2-3 foot long Green Iguana's, really suitable pets.They were kept in a viv no bigger than 4 foot long. |
