Quarrenteening is keeping the two torts seperate, for about six months. This is because the
new tortoise has to get used to new surroundings and home. This can bring out stress, which in turn can (not definite) bring on RNS or other problems. If you got the tortoise from some where other than where you got the first one, then they could well have mixed torts, again this can cause health problems. So getting another leopard from the same breeder would help. But idealy it would have to be from another blood line.

otherwise you will have inbred tortoises a.k.a MACKEMS ! lol
anyway youre talking years aint you 16.. youre still at school (unless youre a young gun !) just wait unless your parents gaffe is a big place with a big garden we have 6 i am personally responsible for 1 hermann and 1 leopard although we all share in the duties ... so when i move out ill most likely be going for a flat with the house prices as they are ! although the housing market is at a standstill and were facing a recession, a think ill leave my leo atleast at home till im properly on my feet and have a house decent enough too cope with him
