I agree, ratio has to come into it and also it looks like they are in an indoor rabbit cage, so not much space or visual barriers to escape his advances. I don't think Horsfields should be mixed with any other species anyway, IMO

I must have missed the post where a time frame was mentioned.

Honestly... to answer your question... yes. A tortoise in the wild usually does not encounter more than one female at a time.

I don't know where that idea got started.

The owner has sent me pics of them but i cant seem to save them to mu comp for some reason. He said its a male as he has seen his bits

Its does make me soo angry that he knows whats going on with them but does NOTHING about it and like someone said hes laughing

dont know, I just told him that im interested in the male, i dont really want the female and hes trying to get me to buy him, dropping the price. ive asked him to send me a pic

Dont know if his shell looks a bit funny thou. try and add the pics now. Looks like a male to me going on the size of the tail. Really long

I think you can do better unless you want to 'save' him. The way he is sitting with the legs bent backward like that does not look good. You have to think he did not get the best of care but the shell shape does not look bad.

he did say he woke him up to take the pics. Tort might be half asleep ing these. Hes telling me hes got the correct lighting in there. But then i dont know for sure .
