Feeling for eggs
I have been in the greenhouse soaking my lot today and thought I would just try feeling for eggs as a couple of the females may have some coming soon, I have attempted this quite a few times over the last couple of years and felt nothing. Today I am sure that I have felt some (well 1) in Myrtle, just in one side, it was amazing and totally unexpected I know that some people say that it is not possible but I am 99% sure that it was an egg, I will have another feel in a few days if she hasnt laid by then.

Should add that you feel the side of the tortoise that is downwards, thus letting gravity help. Last edited by alley cat; 23-03-2013 at 08:12 PM. |

I had a guess that's how it was done, so will certainly give that a go, my girls are big, heavy and very strong, so I might get clamped lol x
