ive explained it cant be sold etc etc , they are going to look for a pet home and explain the story of the paper work and rehome the tortoise to a pet home without the papers.

Where did the Lady get the tort from? If a pet shop she should be able to approach Defra with all the details, which shop etc & ask what they suggest. Don't know if they can help but might be worth a try.

it was 7 years old they bought it as a baby from a pet shop, and as with most just put the papers away so never gave it any thought it might not be what the shop/papers said it was.
she arranged a pet home for it on the understanding they realise its not papered and that if they need to rehome it then it cant be sold and must return to her. it was a lovely little thing well about 5" plastron length. |
