Default one of my Leopards tortoises I hatched in 2008

Hi this is a post off my site showing the growth and development of a Leopard tortoise I hatched and kept for myself to experiment with husbandry keeping this one outside as often as possible and showing the affects of my Hatchling diet along with access to graze.
These are of the same leopard at different stages of growth.i find it amazing to watch them grow and how their shell pattern changes.

ok have added all three pictures to this topic and copied this one here at the start so it can be viewed with the originals.

This was one taken with mum and next is a short vid this summer taking a stroll

Thank you for the kind comments. Ever since hatching my first tortoises in 1989 it has been about raising the youngsters to the very best of my ability. Information was very difficult to obtain then. I do put a lot of thought into their husbandry and dont always do things to follow the trend because of that. I do feel I have had some success over the years. I have tried to share my experiences and I hope have helped other keepers.I did post a lot on here before I started my own site in 2010 after which I only popped in to answer specific questions mostly about Leopards. I know my opinions dont always agree with other keepers but they are just my opinions and as it says in my signature do with them what you will. I dont ever mean to offend or anger anyone by not agreeing with them so please dont think badly of me I do have good intentions.

I think most people will value your comments.

There are differing opinions and it is good for everyone to share their experiences to help others to choose.

I am really trying to do everything as naturally as possible and realise I did some things well and also could have done so much better if I hadn't worried as much. However, our circumstances affect what we can do. For example, we have such a high water table it is a problem for burrowing down even in the greenhouse. Moles come up everywhere, so I do worry about the torts going down their holes. Also, we have a big rat problem too. The rats have had some of my bantams - they attach their necks and drink the blood. Sends shivers down my spine.

I can understand your concern about your tortoises going down the moles hole. I see you keep Horsfield super diggers. Having a high water table gives ideal conditions for rats. Also as I feel sure you know they are attracted to chickens.
