Can anyone recommend a substrate for outdoor enclosure?
hi everyone, i know the weather is rubbish at the minute, but ive been meaning to build and outside run onto the outdoor shed that ive been building, and this week i have a few days off work so i want to get the run built and planted.
so my question to you guys is... can you recommend a substrate suitable for outside that is safe for my leopard. im going to b&q to get a few materials so really it needs to be from there so i can pick it up at the same time. what soil should i get, and can i use some bark to add more texture and make it a bit different? if you can you please post a link so i know exactly what ones i need, sorry to be cheeky haha, much appreciated |

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, what is the substrate outside just now? If it is just soil then you wouldn't need to buy anything. I wouldn't use bark as there's splinters of wood in it and sticky resin, bark for the garden isn't the same as pet shop bark (if there is such a thing)

agree for your tort but for mine (Hermanns) I just used topsoil extra to the mud out there already. I have a few boulders to climb on and big pebbles oh and limestone chippings scattered. You could use playsand in parts for variation.
