I loved reading all these, brilliant. Weeds all dried up too here.

RAIN TODAY ! could not believe it ! black clouds too.

I am creeping (get it!) around so they don't hear me otherwise they are rushing over expecting pickings and I can only drop a few bits in and they trample it to get to me !

Can I just say Jonathans post made me laugh re the reservoirs are full but when the kids are on holidays we shall see......surely they aren't fizzy pop reservoirs in Scotland !? CB

27 degrees here but it’s been partially cloudy and so much cooler, which has been lovely.
Rain forecast for tomorrow and the ground needs it but more of the hot stuff back for the weekend.

I think the reservoirs in Scotland are full of Buckfast Mead! It used to sell here at the Abbey for about £3 but they hiked the prices right up a few years ago when they realised how popular it was in Scotland, especially for those who like to soak up as much as possible.

I saw on the news heavy rain in Salisbury this evening.

No rain in my area though and I am talking to the darker clouds asking them to move my way. Just shows you the impact when the mad woman is in the garden talking to clouds when there is a lack of water!

Tort area now has virtually no grass or weeds. Fortunately I do have other areas I can pick them. Plantain has been prolific.

backfast mead....! oh my goodness we need to brew.....maybe not as acquired taste - what about apples ...nice little cider with a kick.

I don't know about tortoises but think I could aestivate. its 30.1 degrees here in the shade.

Love it !!

Jan - do you grow plantain as I have not been successful at all? CB

I can’t say I’ve seen heavy rain , a few drops, but it did give me the chance to actually put on my new rain coat, which I haven’t so far this summer, so that was a novelty!

Yes I do grow plantain, but cant take the credit for it. It is what makes up my lawn. The long grows wild in my orchard and both types make up my lawn! Even with the brown grass I have some green round plantain and lots of it in the shaded areas.
