Split or wonky scutes, is your tort male or female?
Please only add your vote if you know for sure what sex your torts are and only if they have split or wonky scutes.
After Ed's explanation or theory on the split scutes thing on another thread I'm now interested to know if your split scute tort is male or female. Ed say in the wild it's 50/50 going by what he's come across but hasn't followed this up with captive bred torts so now I'm asking I'm seeing a lot of females with split scutes. you can vote more than once if you have a few torts that apply to but you have to do it at the same time, once you click the button you can't add any after that Last edited by Alan1; 12-11-2010 at 07:49 PM. |

My Tunisian and Ibera have both been sexed male by Dan. I just noticed today that Penelope my Tunisian rehomer who is female has one too, its not that noticeable at first as it goes straight across, but is definately split. Dandy (Tunisian) is very wonky as well. I love the fact that they are different. Must post some pics tomorrow

Why are there so many male and female options?
I don't have any with split scutes so if any of you have multiple and need an extra vote going on let me know. |

it's so that if you had 10 males and 10 females all with wonky scutes you'd be able to add them all jo. I did one before this one which had only one of each option then realised some folks might have quite a few torts with splits, the other one is deleted
