Hello everyone
 He does have a lovely shell! I'm glad he grew to be smooth and pretty. I've been told he's big for a 5 year old too. He measures 17cm on top and 11 on the bottom and weighs 450g. Fatty I have to say this forum is really friendly. I'm really happy I found it. And suze I was struggling to think of a name and I was watching Tarzan :P I've just realised it's a bit misleading though. I'm a girl

Some tortoises will grow faster than others, he has grown nice and smooth so clearly had good conditions to grow. So I wouldn't give it a second though about being "big for a 5 year old"!
