Hi Im the proud new owner of a Horsefield tortoise called SPG

he is 5 years old but Im a bit concerned as his old owner said he is only fed 4 times a week and only baby sweet corn and lettuce ? Hes very active but I want to give him a good balanced diet ! Any advice greatly received

Hello and welcome, you've come to the right place, you will get lots of good advice here. Baby sweet corn and lettuce is a rubbish diet for tortoises, weeds and flowers are the best diet for your tort, if your overwintering your tort , when weeds are scarce , then you can supplement with some shop bought food like florette crispy lettuce , occasional kale, rocket, and pellet food a couple of times a week, yes pellet food, it's fine to supplement their diet over the winter. And feed him very day, as much as he wants, he's growing , he need a good nutritious diet.
