My hingebacks wouldnt eat weeds at one stage, but ate fruit for a few days, now they are back on the weeds. Try mushrooms, mine love em. I have found that they like variety and one time they wont eat it and another time they scoff it down. I guess they are like us and it depends what they fancy. Keep up the weeds as he will love them once he gets used to them.

I think Laura is trying to get him to eat greens on their owns, so that when she feeds a mix diet, then he wont just leave the greens.

hey guys, just a little update..... shelly had his daily bath this afternoon and i had a go at feeding him by hand just to make sure he eats something and he ate a bit of weed, i kinda tricked him, i bought him some little gem lettuce and put it on top of the weeds and he took a bite then i moved the lettuce away and he ate some of the weeds on his own, im really happy now i know he has eaten something!
thanx for all your advice! my own weeds i bought are growing aswell..... they have started to spount, but my mum found shelly in the garden trying to dig them up today..... the little sod, lol! xxxx |
