Redfoot Tortoise Eggs
Hi,
My redfoot has just laid 2 eggs, I do not have access to an incubator till tomorrow, is there anything that I can do in the mean time??? Any advice is great |

Mark the tops, put them on damp vermiculite or perlite (mix 1 to 1 by weight with water, so 1oz of vermiculite to 1oz of water), put the container in the warmest place in the house and you should be fine till you get the incubator set-up. Set-up should take about 24 hours to get the temperatures stable and where you want them in the incubator, try for between 29 and 30C for Redfoot eggs. That and make sure you have a shallow wide mouthed container for water to put in the incubator for air humidity, which should be 80 to 85%.
