Question Something hanging out of torts bum?

I've got 2 Horsfield tortoises both 3 years old. They are not hibernating at the moment from advice that you shouldn't hibernate until they are a few years old. Anyway, one of them has got something red/pink hanging out of it's bum It sort of looks like it's Quite long but it is curving around so it looks like a ball? Sorry it's hard to describe..

Hi and Welcome to the forums.

Is it still there or has it gone back in?

Also pictures could help as it could be Worms,Prolapse or even him just flashing his boy bits (That is if it's a He)

There a a couple of things this could be - a male showing his parts or a possible prolapse.

Is it still out?

If yes then bathe the tortoise in warm water and see what happens.

I would google a tortoise prolaspe and then tortoise flashing and see if it looks like either of them.

If it looks more like a prolapse then you will need to see a vet.

You got a flasher.... If it's a scary alien looking thing then it's probably his manhood. Ignore it... it goes away. xx
