Phew, what a day.
Yesterday was just one of those days in your life that you would rather forget.
My middle daughter hasn't been well for the past week with a bad chest, cough etc. It all culminated in her being sent to hospital with suspected pneumonia. She had a temperature of 38.6 and her heart rate was 122 bpm. After 4 hours of waiting and tests she was sent home, thankfully everything was fine she just has to keep taking the tablets. Then 10pm, eldest pregnant daughter, due in 10 days, was taken to the same hospital with suspected pre-eclampsia. After 11 hours she has also been sent home. No pre-eclampsia after all. Feeling slightly shattered, both mentally and physically. But have to carry on as it's middle daughters 24th birthday today.

Oh Wendy! What a nightmare for you. I'm glad though that everyone is okay! Happy birthday to your daughter.
I had a nightmare day yesterday too. Dad had another fall (always when mother is out!) and so I dealt with the paramedics and he had to go to hospital. He's broken his shoulder and now has to stay in hospital for 6 weeks because he's not safe to recover at home due to him walking with a frame - one arm's in a sling and the other is weakened by his strokes so he can't stand or walk now. So 6 weeks of being taxi service running mother about! Obviously I don't mind visiting him but I know my mother will whinge constantly when she has to catch the bus to the hospital. I can't do the hospital run twice daily when I have the kids to educate, then college run for my eldest twice a week, a house to run and autistic child to care for. She doesn't see it that way! I was looking forward to February but now roll on March!!

I hadn't noticed either!
Hope you manage to turn today into a good day with yummy cake. Yes, we do seem to have eventful lives...... Dad's seen the OT this morning and the plan is to move him into a community hospital once a bed becomes available. Fingers crossed that'll be soon as I won't have so far to go and may actually get a few evenings at home this month. I know better than to hold my breath however!

......and breath. Not such a good birthday for my daughter. We had tears as she feels so awful and just wants it to go away. Eldest couldn't come due to her being tired after spending all night being monitored. Her blood pressure is stable, swollen ankles and hands have gone down and no protein recorded in her urine this morning. So fingers crossed it stays that way or she will be induced.
