I had the opposite problem at the weekend, my fridge dipped to 0.3 so I put in another probe as it had been fine for weeks, that one read -2.4 total panic struck me then as I thought 9 torts would be getting up blind or worse, I opened the door, turned off the fridge, removed the 4 young ones and started to wake them, they all are now eating etc and appear ok, the others I put into the boxes they were in last year and they are now in the outhouse, I did get Doris up though as she looked a bit puffy.
I still dont know why it happened or which temp reading was correct but that is the end of my fridge hibernations, next year back to the boxes!!
Fingers crossed that they will all be ok when they get up

Thanks, so do I, as the 4 small ones are ok I am hoping the others will be.
I had 2 new themometers arrive today so I have tested them all against each other, the one that read the minus figure was 1 degree less than the new ones which means it could have been -1 in the fridge, my husband says it was still stablizing from me taking it out of the table and shoving it in the fridge, this still means it was probably only just above freezing point though going by the other one that was always in there
