Are eggs without yolks an unusual occurence?
One of my female Spur-thighs laid six eggs last Wednesday. There are the usual white circles just under the top of the shell, but none of the eggs seem to have yolks in them, is this a regular thing? They weigh about 16 grams each (She laid five eggs, 21 days ago and these have yolks)

It only normally happens with very small eggs. Usually also eggs with no yolks don't chalk up, so I'm assuming they do have yolks. Can you take some pictures?

This is the best I can do Dan, hubby doesn't know that I've got yet more eggs in the incubator, so have had to use a camera I don't know how to use. Excuse the nails, I was planting out frisee plug-plants into the veg patch this evening, and haven't got round to doing a post-gardening manicure yet
The eggs were laid on Wednesday lunchtime. Karen

They do have yolks because if they didn't it would be clear inside. Those have a yellowy hue.

Thanks for the super-quick reply, strange though, the other clutch of eggs' yolks were clearly yellow and visible. So I must be going daft, my husband has always said I was - yet another striking case of life imitating art
