Interesting.
I had my card "copied". The first I knew was when my bank rang to confirm that I hadn't been in Spain for the weekend. Two cash withdrawals had been made from two different machines within a matter of minutes. I got the money back and a new card/number, but it took a few days! Now if I use a machine I put my hand over the numbers when typing them in. |

There was a more detailed report on our local radio and it said that the bit where you put your card in you should check that and if there is anything sticking out that feels loose or has scratches around it then it could be dodgy. It also said that your card number and PIN can be used in a foreign country in as little as half an hour

We had a scam going on like this in our little town a year ago. A friend of mine lost a fair amount of cash from her account.
