Default Torts Age

Generally how old is a tortoise when he start 'flashing'? Ours has just started doing this over the past couple of weeks and we thought he was 3 years old. Do they start to do this at that age or will he be a bit older?

(He is also big for a 3 year old, regarding his weight and length)

I know lots of owners say their tortoises show their man hood. I have yet to see it in any of mine and I have some very rampent adult males who do the reproduction job! So what makes a male do this? I would like to know please.

I don't know, my guess was that he was getting a bit horny Although I would have thought 3 was too young for this???

Mine actually started doing that at a fairly early stadium... Can't remember my first boner, but I was probably pretty young too. Haha. No but seriously; around 3 years I think it's normal for them to flash. Scared the hell out of ny father when he saw it.
