Default Interesting hobbies, You got one?

Anyone got any interesting hobbies then?
I’ve been enjoying metal detecting for a few years now, great to get out and about.

I saw on Sky news last night the 3 yr old boy who found the 500 yr old chain in a field Could be a profitable hobby My son has a kiddie metal detector, all he found was an old bullet The tortoises would have to be my interesting hobby before I got them I was a cleaning freak who never sat down, but now I tend to relax a little more I love sitting watching them

I collect Lava Lamps and Fibre Optic lamps. Have round 300 of the things. Not any old knock off, but Crestworth (The original manufacturers), Mathmos (Crestworth sold the company and it was re branded) or Lava World (The American Brand). I'm always Trawling Ebay and car boot sales. In fact, it doesn't matter what condition the bottle is in, if the base and cap are ok i'll buy it! - Anyone got anything knocking around???

That's a start to a fantastic hobby. Since I have been detecting I have had a Bronze Age Hoard, some fantastic gold and silver coins and a few nice pieces I have donated to the museum and back to the landowners.

Yes you can get rich if your lucky but for the majority of people who practise the hobby its not all about money.

Tell your son I wish him luck if he keeps the detecting up.

I remember those things when I was younger. Made my eyes funny, some of them was like watching paint getting mixed.
