Well just got fast tracked past all the people waiting at the hospital and had my drain removed by my surgeon who has such a sense of humour its unreal.
His parting words were see you Friday and dont have breakfast as we might need to operate again. What a funny chap |

What would another op be - number 7?!
Although they say it’s a lucky number... wouldn’t it be easier to have some Velcro and Hoover it all out each day?

Well I seem to have my own personal surgeon now. We arrived at hospital and asked the lady on the desk if she could call him as per his instructions and within 15 minutes he turned up in surgery gowns so must of just finished fixing someone else. Two minutes later came and got me and looked and and prodded and said all was looking ok but still could do something yet put on new dressings and we were out all in 40 minutes .
But I'm still not totally convinced as its definitely doing something I can tell. |

How are things looking, Gordon?
Fingers crossed that sore area has settled down and no sign of another abscess or infection.

Well I must admit all of my surgical holes are or seem to be healing slowly and unless I'm just used to it now the pain seems easier at last.
But as we all know it was Sunday yesterday which means infection day....... and it never let me down as I have a bit of a temp a headache from hell all my muscles are really painful to a point I struggle to even get off the sofa. Last night I was freezing cold till about 2 am then boiling hot and today I feel a bit better and I probably should of gone to hospital but I'm being a man and trying to beat it at home. My reason for not going is all they will do is put me on iv antibiotics to which my thoughts are I'm taking 12 a day at the moment so not sure if it would achieve anything or maybe I'm just being stupid. |
